#1 Tip To Release Stress & Move With Ease

#1 Practical Tip To Release Stress

If you would like to cut out some of the stress and fill your time with more ease, here is a gem that you can use to make your week less stressful.

One of the foundations of having less stress, is to center yourself.  You don't have to "OM" your way through the day, but you can add some small practices during your regular tasks, to feel more calm and at ease.

Here's a  tool to calm your mind and connect to your center, so that you don't get pulled away yourself and merge with the stress that is being displayed by others.

#1 Tool To Center and Calm Your Mind:

The TOOL is your breath!  Your breath is an amazing resource to calm your mind so that you can make the next decision from being anchored in yourself, instead of what you think others would like  you to do.

You can fall into situations that pull you out of your center and create more stress.  Some of these stress moments include:

*Pleasing others over yourself

*Being controlled by emotions (yours or someone else's)

*Overloading yourself with more than you can do or want to do

Staying aligned with yourself so you can make great decisions for yourself, requires that you stay connected to your body, instead of worrying or spinning in your head.

If you practice settling your mind by using your breath, you can learn to calm yourself and clear out all the noise so you can think clearly and receive what you need to do next, instead of over-doing and getting stressed.

Check out this tip , to get the benefits of  your breath as a stress relief and relaxation tool.

Practice this breathwork to stay calm &
focused instead of scattered and reactive.

Step 1: Put your hands on your lower ribcage

Step 2:  Breathe into the lower ribcage, under the breastbone

Step 3:  Feel the expansion of your ribs and the retraction

Step 4:  Do this for 1 minute

Use this breath during your day.  If your mind veers off in different directions, simply bring it back.  You are training it to be centered & steady.

Some great places to practice centering yourself are:

  • When you first wake up & before getting out of bed

  • Brushing your teeth

  • Taking a shower

  • While you cook

  • Doing tasks such as cleaning or shopping

You don't have to budget an hour to focus on your breath & center yourself.

Small practices of 1-2 minutes throughout the day, can be effective in training yourself to calm your mind.  This calming skill spreads out into all areas of your life, including,

"Handling challenges better, Responding to chaos or Making clear decisions that work for you!"

This focused breath is a key ingredient to having less stress.  It is especially great during the holidays, when you feel more emotional, if you are overtired or when you feel stressed.

Try it out and let me know how you do with it!
