How To digest your thoughts and feelings!

Your body knows how to digest your thoughts and feeling, just like it knows how to digest food. Digestion happens with ease, when you relax. By practicing being quiet in your mind and focusing your attention inside your body, you initiate the process of moving your thoughts and feeling though you, Instead of having them revolve around in circles, creating stress.

As you pay attention to your breath, notice when thoughts come in. instead of focusing on the thought, focus on your breath, so the thought can move. This is a great practice to do during your day, for 1-2 minutes at a time.

With your focused attention, you can learn to quiet your mind and be present with yourself, instead of being pulled out of your center by challenges, obstacles or circumstances beyond your control.

You are strong, when you are in your center.  That is what my Inner Body meditations are designed for.  They help you to strengthen your inner awareness and grow your inner strength so that no one or no “thing” can pull you away from yourself.

All experiences need to be digested and assimilated, so that you don’t hold onto them, from the past or in the future.  Being in the present is power and also freeing to your body and mind.  Your body can heal the most, when you are in the present moment.

As you focus your attention on your breath, allow yourself to be present with your breath as you breathe into your belly.  Your belly holds onto stress.  It can also digest stress.  Your body will do the digesting of your experiences, without you having to do anything else, but be with yourself!

Practice improves your skill at quieting your mind.  As you quiet your mind, your body releases stress, lets go of tension, reduces inflammation and replenishes.  You can practice bits of focusing on your breath for one minute or two, throughout the day.  Besides digesting your thoughts and feelings, you are also improving your focus. Do a little every day!  Your body, mind, health and overall well being will flourish!

Enjoy your practice and much love to you.
